introduction and context

Relevant socio-economic changes, combined with contemporary environmental challenges, have declared urgency of reflection and interrogation in order to promote, with an advancement of knowledge, changes in behavior and real interventions on the territory. The knowledge and skills to accommodate and pursue transitional processes, in union with one of the specificities of design, able to identify what scenarios can be prefigured and proposed, constitute the foundation of the advanced course, which is divided into instrumental, critical analysis and project activities.Indeed, the nautical and naval sector requires specificity of knowledge and skills of both a theoretical and technical nature as well as of design nature, such as the abilities to prefigure and propose use scenarios that can induce both innovation gap and ethical and conscious behavior.

Projectualitiesthat promote models of environmental, economic and social sustainability find within the advanced course a learning space in which confront the main issues of contemporary boating with a specific focus on the public sector and environmentally and sustainability-oriented approach.

Thus, issues such as accessibility, inclusion, welcome and hospitality, projectual practices such as vehicle recovery and replacement, and processes that lead to thinking of vehicles as performative industrial products or rather as spaces of living in motion or waiting fall within the scope of investigation and experimentation with professionals in the field.

goals

Through in-depth study of specific topics and learning techniques related to supply chain analysis and project impact assessment, the course promotes an aware project approach to existing and the prefiguration of new scenarios made possible by researching and deepening the relationship between water and sustainable boating.

The Venetian context, in which water, architecture and the environment are in search of a less precarious balance, provides the challenging setting for a advanced course that intends to reflect on a new projectual vision able to contribute to a cultural renewal of public and sustainable nautical design, starting precisely from such a significant place.

functional profiles and job opportunities in the relevant professional sector

The course aimed at those who, in different titles, are interested in the nautical and naval system and those working in the sector who want to expand their skills and knowledge in relation to the current ecological and energy transition.

The course aims to bring out professional profiles able to dedicate to nautical design with a vision focused on the overall comfort of use and employment of spaces and vehicles, as well as on integral and integrated design, able to reflect and influence contemporary environmental, economic and social urgencies.
